Kellen: we have a family saying that we've adopted from another family: "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!" Kellen decided (appropriately probably) that it should really be: "You get and you get and you throw a fit."

Cade: speaking about our baby on the way, and perhaps thinking of Kellen, "I hope the baby is a quiet and calm one."

Harper recently learned to throw a fit. She is still charming, and fit-throwing is hardly a habit of hers. Still, it was surprising to see her start to do this all of a sudden. Where did she learn how to do that? What made her think it would be effective? Could this possibly be an innate, evolved trait?
She still gets what she gets. No pony yet.

I'm looking forward to being able to write about the things Harper says. Right now it just wouldn't be interesting to anyone except me or Marc. It would go something like this: Today Harper said "No" for the first time. Today Harper said some words that sounded a lot like "car" and "thank you."
